Yard 56

Yard 56 is a 20-acre, mixed-use development project ideally located directly across from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in East Baltimore which will include 2.2 million square feet of commercial real estate consisting of retail, office, and restaurants. Phase I of the project includes 106,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office space, including a grocery store and fitness club anchors. Future phases will include residential housing, two hotels, and a parking garage. Yard 56 is built on a former industrial manufacturing site which was deemed an unbuildable industrial brownfield. The Yard 56 master plan transformed this once vacant land. Construction of the first phase completed the fall of 2020.

B&R Engineering Services provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and engineering for the shell buildings under Phase 1 as well as the interior fit-out of the grocery store anchor.
